"A Room of My Own"

I have always been blessed to have a "room of my own" - a place to be able to go and create.  My grandmother awakened that need in me as a small child and taught me how to nourish it and protect it no matter how "creative" I might need to be to obtain a little place of my own. I have a picture of my past studio in Decatur...a delightful sleeping-type porch overlooking my garden.

I so loved working in my Decatur studio...it was a blessing.  God then provided me with another studio when we moved to Birmingham last year.  It is completely different and just as wonderful!

This is where I am usually doing my "creating", but for a season, I have a temporary studio in our basement.  It's not as aesthetically pleasing, but once again God has shown me that beauty can be created anywhere...even in a basement!

They're all three so different, yet all you, how cool!

What is it like painting over carpet? Wow! Don't get too excited with the brush...

yeah...carpet is a "dicey" situation...I'm pretty sure if you look closely you will see flecks of color all over the place....
