Alisa Poole of Decatur grew up painting. Her mother, an artist, encouraged Poole's creativity growing up, even allowing her young daughter to paint her antique tea cart bright orange.
Today, the creative bug still hasn't left the wife and mother of two boys. The upstairs studio in her home overlooks a garden, and became her refuge to paint and sew when she and her family moved in 6 years ago. Last year, however, was the first time she started to seriously focus on painting. She has many paintings of local churches as well as flowers.
