Can today really be Thursday? Wow this week is flying!!! Well I do have 3 paintings that I have completed that are variations on stained glass crosses entitled "beauty in brokenness". It hit me that the beauty of stained glass lies in its brokenness; the glass is not nearly as beautiful when it is perfect and whole. The light shines forth with much more brilliance through the pieces of the broken glass, showing the variety of colors and textures. This is so much like our lives, we are far more beautiful and attractive to others when we are broken, letting God shine in and through the various colors and textures of our lives. This is encouraging to me when trials come to remember the goal is not to be a perfect piece of glass...but to let Jesus shine through all my pieces!!!
