Not that you sit around thinking about me (I mean I do...but you shouldn't...=)....anyway...in case you ever wondered why I sign my paintings "Lisy"...here it is (and it's going to be a little anti-climatic). I always wanted a nick-name...there ya go. "Alisa" was not given to many nicknames in the 60's when I was growing up, though my dad called me "Lis".
I was telling a friend this one day and she said, "You need to have a nick name to sign your paintings with, we'll call you "Lisy"! I thought...."Yeah, a fun nickname and if no one likes my paintings, they won't know it's me!!!" So that's how "Lisy" got started...yes, one of those very eccentric stories that doesn't make a lick of sense to anyone but me...but now you know (and you probably wish you didn't!!! =)
