New Beginnings

WOW! Today is my first blog post on the launch of my website! It has been a very exciting journey getting to this point.  Three years ago this summer I had just started painting on canvas when a friend taught me how to paint a pear (thanks Lori!).  I have always loved churches and collected paintings of them, so I started painting some of my own.  It was such a fun surprise to me when my friends started buying them from me.

As I painted I was always (am still am) delighted and surprised at the results...I would have an idea of what the church would look like and what colors to use, but the end result was always far beyond what I'd even thought.  I saw a quote a long time ago that sums this up perfectly "the creations of the hands are an expression of the Spirit".

I see this painting journey as an opportunity to glorify God in my little corner of the world.
